BOWLS SCOTLAND: DISTRICT 10

District 10 is one of 32 districts of Bowls Scotland: the national governing body for the sport of lawn bowls in Scotland.

Comprising 19 clubs in the heart of Central Scotland, it spans from Polmont in the east to Allandale in the west, and from Dunmore in the north to Slamannan in the south.

Current ladies and youth co-ordinators are Sheila Muir from Grahamston and Peter Alexander from Laurieston, respectively.

Recent Scottish Champions: Denny's mixed pairs in 2019 and 2012, Zetland's ladies rink in 2015, Denny's gents triple in 2014 and Camelon's Ian Stewart in 2013.

Previous British Champions: Denny's gents rink in 1967, Bonnybridge's Elizabeth Wren in 1990, Laurieston's Kelly Dickinson (nee Wilson) in 1998 and Denny's Karen Dawson in 2004.

National Championships

The provisional Schedule of Play for the 2025 National Championships from 26 July to 2 August has been confirmed.

District Youth Finals

The 2025 district youth finals for U18 bowlers will be staged at Laurieston:

  • 25 May: singles from 10am
  • 01 Jun: pairs from noon
  • 08 Jun: triples from noon

Online entry is via Bowls Scotland's JustGo System, the deadline is 27 April.

Players can also register in person on the day of each event.

National Youth Competitions

2025 national youth competitions have been confirmed, including:

  • 14 Jun: U16 pairs at Grangemouth
  • 15 Jun: U18 triples at Grangemouth
  • 23 Aug: U18 rinks x 3 at Northfield
